Why nutritional therapy?

After years of helping family and friends with herbal remedies, my own health started to deteriorate. Research showed me that our gut microbes are a lot more important than I realised. I put myself on a diet to fix my microbial imbalance and experienced an incredible transformation which led to all of my symptoms from very bad blood circulation to depression and intestinal pain disappearing. This led to the realisation that good nutrition is vital for health, including neurological function. What we are told in the mainstream about health is not always correct. After a long search, the right nutritional therapist course came along. I now have the knowledge to help people live a better life.

In modern society with our busy lifestyles, it is easy to turn to convenience foods, which are low in nutrients and antioxidants. We are also subjected to environmental toxins in the form of: beauty products, cleaning products, air pollution and medications. All of which can have detrimental effects on health.

Stress is a big factor in physical and mental health. Stress stimulates the Adrenal glands, which will not cause problems in the short term, but long term can lead to electrolyte imbalance, dehydration, gut bacterial imbalance, inflammation and thyroid problems. Stress can be caused by life circumstances or a biological problem happening within the body, including a bad diet that leads to gut health problems.

Degenerative disease usually comes upon us slowly, eventually causing terrible health problems.

When we understand what is happening within the body we can eliminate the things which are harming us, and introduce what is needed to restore health.

Nutritional therapy can help with many conditions but my main focus is on:

Degenerative disease such as dementia

Adrenal problems including Stress, Anxiety and Depression

Gastrointestinal problems

Children with autism
